As a former Rugby Union player and Private School Director of Rugby, Mark has always been around the physio/medical services.
He wanted to utilise this knowledge and experience to help and protect the health of Scottish businesses and communities. This was one of the core reasons he formed Shield Healthcare Solutions with Lewis.
In the world of rugby you need a team around you to get optimal outcomes. The same is true in Healthcare, and that’s what Shield does.

Lewis Mitchell

As an HCPC and CSP chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience previously working in the NHS, Lewis can empathise with patients who face long waits to see specialists, get diagnostic tests and have surgery.
As co-owners of a private physiotherapy clinic ESP Physio, Lewis and Mark ventured into the world of Private Medical Insurance as they could see that this was the most efficient way to access the specialists of choice and ultimately get your problem resolved.
